TribeThon raises more than $32,000 for CHKD!

Dance Marathon is a program of Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) Hospitals. CMN Hospitals raises funds for 170 children’s hospitals that support the health of 10 million kids each year across the U.S. and Canada. CHKD is the local CMN Hospital, and each year, William & Mary hosts TribeThon to benefit CHKD. TribeThon is a student-led organization that fundraises for CHKD throughout the year, and then culminates with an event each spring. The students gather to listen to music, view live performances, dance, and continue raising funds throughout the evening.

This year, the students raised funds through a Valentine’s Day fundraiser, Kicks for Kids, miracle hours with different Greek organizations across campus, Woodstock, and their TribeThon celebration.

The third annual Woodstock hosted by TribeThon and Sigma Pi was a charity concert featuring Halcyon Lane, Mug Shot, Get Back Soon, SRBF and Pink Lmnade. Tickets, tshirts and concession sales supported TribeThon’s fundraising efforts – raising more than $8,000!

On Saturday, students gathered to celebrate a decade of dancing for CHKD. CHKD patients Grayson Moore and Austin Ryan joined the celebration share the impact the students are making.
