The Dairy Queen team celebrates Miracle Treat Day in Hampton Roads

Mid Atlantic Dairy Queen (MADQ), a collection of 15 Dairy Queen locations throughout Hampton Roads, made more than 9,500 Blizzards and just as many miracles on this year’s Miracle Treat Day (MTD), July 27, 2023.

Each year, MADQ celebrates MTD, where $1 from every Blizzard sold is donated back to Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters (CHKD). This, in addition to asking each customer to round up their purchase to the nearest dollar all year round, supports MADQ’s $5 million commitment to CHKD’s mental health initiative.

This year, MADQ raised $12,444.80 on MTD, thanks to their dedicated team and generous customers.

To top off the day, Dan Kropp (COO, International Dairy Queen), Matt Dunham (VP, Dairy Queen of Virginia), Mitch Sandlin (CEO/President Mid Atlantic Dairy Queen), George Lancaster (Senior Business Consultant, Dairy Queen of Virginia) and Matt Bean (Director of Marketing and Public Relations, Mid Atlantic Dairy Queen), toured CHKD’s new pediatric Mental Health Hospital, Children’s Pavilion. MADQ’s pledge supported Children’s Pavilion’s 14th floor outdoor recreation center.
