Game for Good with Extra Life
Extra Life, a gaming marathon, unites thousands of gamers to raise funds and awareness in support of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. Extra Lifers raise money year-round, culminating in a massive international day of play each fall. During this all games-in weekend, participants continue to fundraise, play games, and ultimately celebrate our grand total together. Unlike traditional fundraising events, Extra Lifers typically participate from the comfort of their own home. From video games to board games and beyond, Extra Lifers have raised over $100 million dollars since the program was founded in 2008.
In the Hampton Roads area, Extra Life participants play to support the young patients treated at Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters (CHKD) in Norfolk, Virginia.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
1. Register at extra-life.org
2. Select to fundraise for: Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters
3. Pledge to raise $100 or more
4. Invite family/friends to donate to your personal/team page
5. Play games for 24 hours on November 4, 2023, or, choose your own game day!
How Can My Business Get Involved?
1. Promote: Display information about Extra Life at your business
2. Participate: Create a team under your business name, and encourage your customers and associates to register as part of your team
3. Recruit: Host an Extra Life recruitment event.
4. Play: Host an Extra Life Game Day event
