22nd Annual Virginia Fall Classic

Join us for the 22nd annual Virginia Fall Classic, a car, truck and bike show on October 19th and 20th. The car shows at Newport News Park will feature hundreds of interesting cars, trucks and motorcycles, live music, food and craft vendors, and more! All proceeds benefit CHKD’s mental health program.

This year’s show will feature special guests Anthony Kent Writtenberry, owner of Kentz Kustomz, and Ryan Evans, Lead Painter of Counts Customs.

For the past twenty years, Kent has specialized in restoration and kustomizing. He’s won numerous awards, both national and international. His work has been featured on the covers of dozens of magazines and two of his cars have placed in the top 100 cars in the nation since 2013. His 1951“Brandywine Candy” colored Fleetline, “MayBline” is his most famous creation and was described by Hot Rod magazine as “Textbook Perfection.” Kent said he considers himself to be an artist. Each vehicle tells him its name and how it wants to look.

Ryan started his painting career in his parents’ garage. In 1996, Ryan moved to Los Angeles to be closer to the custom car culture. Three years later, Danny and Shannon came calling and enticed Ryan to move to Las Vegas to become part of the Counts Customs crew. Since then, Ryan has become one of the top painters in the world. He started on History’s Counting Cars for 10 years, and because of that and the volume Ryan completed, he is one of Marix’s Top Guns. Ryan not only sprays the vehicles, he does all the artwork and pinstriping, and is one of the leading airbrush artists in the nation.

Awards include 50 Participants’ Choice Trophies and a Judged Best in Show Trophy.
